Gordon Ramsay Restaurants

Yesterday I went for a small tour to get to know a few of Gordon Ramsay's
Restaurants here in London.

The People we met and the service and quality of food was just amazing,
and I understand now why the prices are what they are.
If you want the best it comes with a price!
If you are looking for top service and quality and want to go dining in London,
pick one of Gordon's Restaurants - they are all different from one another,
but all with great food and atmosphere.

We started our tour at Bread Street Kitchen in The City, near
St Pauls Cathedral, this restaurant is based at the top of the
fairly new shopping center "One New Change". The Restaurant is
really big and can seat really big groups and hold big events. I liked the
big windows and the daylight it was bringing in, this place is a mix of vintage &
contemporary style. We had some pizzas and fizz here, the pizza was really
really good, I think it's the best pizza I have ever had in London.
They serve European Cuisine here.

We then jumped on the bus and went to Savoy Grill, situated on
The Strand. This place was totally different from the one we came from.
More traditional, elegant, classy and formal with white table cloths,
big Swarovski chandeliers and antique mirrors. This Restaurant
is connected to The Savoy Hotel. They also offer a chefs table and private
dining at this restaurant. We got the chance to have a sneek
in the kitchen area to see how everyone was working.
They looked very relaxed and professional and it was very clean and
tidy in there. We were quite full up already from the pizzas, but
they were bringing loads of food for us to try out.
Snails, Pea Soup, Ravioli, Beef Pie, Chips, Scallops, egg omellete, pate etc..
Everything was amazing, the soup and scallops were my favourites.
They serve classic British and French dishes here.

We jumped into the cabs to move on to our next location,
MAZE & MAZE GRILL, situated in Trendy Mayfair.
I was excited about Maze, because it's the one I knew most about and
had plenty of enquires for. This place was bright, colourful and trendy!
They have a Michelin Star at this Restaurant and also the chefs table,
which was available and we got the chance to try it out.
The Chefs table is basically inside the kitchen, it's a space for
about 7-8 people, so you sit infront of the kitchen area and you can see
the chefs and everyone making the food. The atmosphere was
so unique and different, you felt like you were on Gordon's TV SHOW,
and yes there was alot of swearing but so much fun!
They had 1 chef that is doing quality control for each plate before it's
served to the guests, and it was hilarious because if he thought something
didn't look good enough, he was swearing saying something like:
what kind of shit is this, add more sauce or re-do it etc...
It was really nice to experience all of that. Again
we got the chance to try alot of food here too, everything from Arancini
to duck, squid and even sushi. Actually at the begining of the tour
we were told that Gordon is in town and he will be dining at one of the
restaurants this evening, so we were all excited about that.
But we did not know which restaurant he might show up at.
Once at Maze, we were told this was the one, but he couldn't show up
in the end, he was going to travel the next day, so we never saw him.
They serve a fusion and combination of French and Asian cuisine here.

We popped by Maze Grill quickly before leaving to have a look,
If you are into steak and grills this is the place.

Our last stop was York & Albany, situated inbetween the areas of
Regent's Park and Camden Town. This is a more relaxed place and has
a more pub-like atmosphere, but a modern one. They also have 9
bedrooms connected to the restaurant, so it's like a mini hotel.
Every Tuesday they have accoustic nights with live singer, so we got
the chance to experience that too.
We stopped for cocktails and desserts here.
They serve Modern European/British Cusine.

Overall, I had such an amazing evening and experienced plenty of
unique and new things!

I love prints that will never go out of style, anything leopard printed
is always a good investment and will come back over and over again
